2 DAYS - FULL DAY TOURS SCHEDULE

To feel and experience the real "carioca way of life"(cariocas are how the natives of Rio are called), and get the best from not only the main tour attractions but also the "off the beaten path" things to do in Rio, 2 full day(7hrs EACH DAY) tours are perfect!!
Here's a suggestion of a tour plan I usually do with my clients:

DAY 1 - FULL DAY TOUR SCHEDULE

Starting at 9AM on the first day, we head to one of my favorite beach view points in Rio, which my clients lovely designated as "Manu's tropical welcome drink view point", 'cause it's where I usually start my tour around Rio from.

Dimitri Ustinova and I, at the Leblon view point.

Israeli girls, enjoying the view at Leblon view point.

Paul, from Texas, and I starting our day tour with the trpical drink.

Then, we'll drive along Rio's beach side, to see the famous leblon, ipanema and Copacabana beaches, also stopping at the historical and beautiful copacabana fort, from where we can have the prettiest ground view of the sugar loaf mountain and copacabana beach. Astonishing!!

Leblon & Ipanema beaches, with the Twin Brothers' mountain in the background.

Copacabana beach

Copacabana beach sidewalk

Copacabana Fort's main entrance

View of Copacabana beach and the sugar loaf mountain from inside the fort.

From the cannons platform, a 360 degrees panorama view.

Also from the cannons, the Arpoador rock dividing Ipanema & Copacabana beaches.

Then, we go to one of the modern world's new seven wonders, atop the corcovado mountain, the christ the redeemer statue!! After blessed by the christ, our tour continues in downtown area, where we'll see the historical buildings and monuments from the colonial and imperial 19th century. We'll walk to the "still riding since the 19th century" santa teresa street car station. We'll ride the trolley over the old acqueduct now known as "the lapa arches", up to santa teresa, with its colonial architecture and pretty workshops and handcrafts shops. We would never return without tasting the typical flavor of Rio, trying the "black beans turn overs", which are "out of this world" appetizers, and the famous brazilian "feijoada", the brazilian tasty black beans stew. Tired? I hope not!! :) there's plenty more to do and see!!

Christ, the Redeemer statue. Atop of the corcovado mountain.
Jake & Sharon being blessed by the Christ.

Mike & Lori Moore, with me enjoying the view from the Christ's plato.

Old bridge from the 18th century, keeps the colonial and bucolic atmosphere at this beautiful place.

With Dimitri & Elena Ustinova, from Russia.

We'll drive down the park's mountain to "barra da tijuca", the newest borrough in Rio, where the "wild beaches of the west" are located. After trying the famous brazilian barbecue, you'll visit the sugar loaf mountain by cable car, and be there to stare one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world.

Barra da Tijuca and Recreio beaches. Surfers paradise on the west zone of the city.

Alexandra(from Texas) and I at the Urca hill(sugar loaf).

Helder & Luiz, from Lisbon, and I on the ride in the cable car.

Mike & Lori at the Urca hill. The second part of the trip is to ride up to the sugar loaf mountain.

After the sunset, the rewarding view of the city lights.

Here's how things work down here:Certified tour guides have free entrance in ALL touristic attractions, museums and theathers, so, don't worry about going to all places and because of that overwhelm your budget with the guide's tickets. (LOL!).
